Bombardier, one of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers, today issued a statement to the market stating that it has “recently suffered a limited cybersecurity breach”. At the same time, Clop ransomware operators posted images of parts of three project-related documents on the dark web, all containing the Bombardier logo, as well as a short text containing the company’s main data, including its revenue
According to the company, “an initial investigation revealed that an unauthorized party accessed and extracted data exploiting a vulnerability that affected a third-party file transfer application that was running on specific servers isolated from Bombardier’s main IT network.”
