The Prospect Medical Holdins, which manages about 16 hospitals in California, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island, experienced a massive cyber attack that disrupted the daily operations of the hospital. It is not known for certain whether it was a ransomware attack or a data breach, but the investigation points to these suspicions.
