Deutsche Telekom-owned operator T-Mobile launched an investigation after discovering that a cybercriminal was advertising the sale of 100 million of the company’s customer records on the dark web. The information, sold for about $280,000 in bitcoin, allegedly included names, dates of birth, phone numbers, addresses, social security numbers, and driver’s license information.
